Grinding Tranny

Hello, i own a 1992 NT Talon...it sounds like when i go in first gear when i am revving up, theres a noticeable grinding noise that i hear that will stop as soon as i change and it seems to only be up to 3000 rpm. I have no idea if its a tranny, drivetrain problem, but i was also thinking maybe...
I dont have a cat converter on it, could it be possible there could be a hole in the weld to allow extra air or something out...
I had the tranny flushed and there was a little bit of metal filings in there.. WOuld syncro fluid help and quiet this noise or if not what will, possibly without a rebuild..

It may help, but it won't fix it. Just because you can't hear a problem, doesn't mean it's not there. Look into new synchros.

Please post a link or some info on how to get it. My syncros are out in second gear. Thanks.

Go to a crysler dealership or a mitsu one. Id suggest getting all new syncros, cost me about $120 but if u only Need to change 1 or 2 of them you might as well change em all when ur in there. Also, yeah labor would cost some good money if you take it to a trans shop but email me, starting up a tranny shop in 2 weeks.
