I am rebuilding the 2g engine off my 98 eclipse GST, i took all the parts to the machine shop to bore for forged pistons and rodes and to blance the assembly, i am thinking about removing the rear balance shaft and replacing it with a stub but i am afraid that it will affect the balance of the assembly, which i paid a lot for, and also the rear bearing coming loose and causing severe engine damage. Do i have to worry about any of these things happening?

To make it short no more vibration is made just more is felt. It has no effect on the actual balance of the rotating assembly. It just cancels out the vibration.
