Okay guys I really need some help with my car.

Here are the performance mods that I have -
EVO Manifold
AGP T28
2.5 Downpipe and Exhaust
Tubular O2 housing
Walbro 190 fuel pump
Brand new NGK spark plugs
Brand new Magnecore wires
Small greddy FMIC
greddy upper and lower intercooler piping
Profec B spec 2 boost controller
SAFC mounted, but not hooked up :shhh:

The problem that I am having is that the turbo does not hit full boost (18 psi) untill 5000 rpm (ouch). I did some tests and I have no exhaust or boost leaks anywhere.

What could be the problem? Could I be running rich? If I went and had my car dyno tuned would that help at all?

Thank you for any help!

Well lets see.

first off don't try and boost that high on that turbo without fuel control and injectors..

Check the compression on all the cylinders then get back to us.

Okay here are the compression test numbers - I did it this morning after I ran the car to operating temperature -

Cylinder 1 - 175
Cylinder 2 - 175
Cylinder 3 - 170
Cylinder 4 - 175

I also lowered the boost to 15 psi :thumb:

OKay I dropped the boost all the way to about 13 psi (thats is as low as I can get) - But the car still does not spool up until 5000 rpm.

Do you think that if I went and had my car dyno tuned it could help decrease the spool up time?

I have a auto so I can't really do that.

(I am going to try and make a long story short) When I had my EGT probe installed, the guy who did it drilled right in the middle of the collector on the manifold. And all of the metal shavings went into the turbo (he did it with the car off) . When I started it up but then it died. So he took my car for the weekend, took the turbo apart and cleaned out all the shavings (so he says). I am thinking when I started up the car could those shavings have messed up the turbo. Well enough to cause the slow spool up?
