I'm in the middle of installing a turbo and need some quick help ... I have the 16g off the car except for the coolant feed line (rounded off the damn bolt) ...... soooo, I'm thinking about cutting the line then feeding it back to where it came out of the turbo. here's a pic:

I'm putting in a PTE which is non water cooled so I'm gonna cut that line the lower arrow is pointing at then feed it back to the top arrow. think I'll have any problems with that? I mean, that's where it was going to after cooling the turbo anyway so it should be ok right? thanks!

It should be okay. I've read that other people have done it that way.

I personally plugged the lines on my car. I haven't had any problem that I know of. I was afraid that if I looped it like you were saying, then water traveling this path would have less restriction than it did before causing a slight flow imbalance through the cooloing system.

Anybody else?

cool! actually I crimped it (on accident :p) so I guess that's kind of like blocking it off:

now I have another question though .... anyone think I'll have problems with the crimp? I didnt bend it back and forth, but just wondering if anyone thinks it might crack in the future?

Haha!

Did you wroute the other end of that line to the thermostate housing line. If so, and if you didnt actually crack the line at the kink you are probably okay. But I don't think I would do it this way. I removed that metal line and JB welded a plug into the main colant line.

yeah, I routed it back to the thermostat housing (I dont think anything is actually going there because of the kink though LOL). I'll have to give JB weld a try if this doesnt work. how long have you had it that way? did it hold up alright? I originally planned on taking the bolt off and getting it welded, but I rounded it off plus nothing's open today anyway ... plus I need to get it done before dark because I'm doing this in the parking lot at my apartment :p
