i was stoping at a red light and some lady who wasn't paying attention hit me from behind.

My rear bumper got her license plate mark on it. She kindof hit me from the middle right rear, so the metal bar under the back bumper is kindof bent back, you can press the bumper in like half an inch without felling the metal.

what should i do? make her just pay for the paint? or have the metal bumper re aligned? The outter bumper part is fine except for the scratches she made and mark she made from hiting me.

is there any other damages that i may not know of?

Did you call the cops? You really should be sure to report stuff like this, she will get a ticket, and it will be sure to prove to your insurance companies that she is at fault and hers pays.

Yes you should have it all fixed correctly, not just the bumper cover painted.

Not calling the cops was the first mistake, now there is no way to make a police report. I would never trust anyone in a situation like that, she may not have even had insurance, thats why she offered to pay for it. Hell, I'd probably even call the cops if my mom hit me:rolleyes: , ok maybe not, but still. I hope your car gets fixed....

These days the cops probably won't respond to a non-injury accident, and once they do you'll get the same report as you will by going to the station within ten days and filing a report at the counter. The cop didn't witness the crash, so he won't write up any more than you tell him.
Call your insurance agent, find out if they need a report. After that, if you're covered, your company is supposed to contact hers and get things rolling. Properly done, her agent will contact you about repairs.
