Today my friend just noticed something about my hood. Let me start off by saying i just bought my 98 GST last wednesday (9 days ago). My friend has noticed that there is a slightly bigger gap where the hood closes on the left side than the right side. The hood closes fine but Im talking about the lines where the hood closes. The left line seems a little wider than the right. Is this normal or does this mean the car may have been wrecked from the front or the hood may have been replaced. Any kind of help will greatly be aprreciated.
Thanks

My hood closes fine too, but im talking about the gap in between. Like the lines of the hood when you shut them. You know what i mean?? Thats where my left side has a slightly larger line than my right side.

Yea but JON, a carfax report might not tell everything. The guy could have had a minor wreck in the front and he could have not used his insurance and got it fixed. You know what i mean??

carfax is not perfect but it might tell you somthing you don't know if you don't try. (ignore the last post my roomate is being stupid)

thanks Jon, but i have a question. Are your Lines of the hood the same on both side or is one slightly wider than the other. Thanks

There is a rubber peice that the front of your hood comes down on, that piece can be adjusted. which ever your misalined side is on adjust it so the rubber peice gets higher. this will help but if the misalighence is to much it wont be perfect. but it is really worth a try. what could have caused this problem is your fender might be to high. so your hood is disalighted. A accedent is a definate high factor cause in your disalighnment.... sorry if I spelt any thing wrong, im kinda drunk right now!

BoostenGst, thanks so much for the help. Ill check it out tommorow morning.
