somewhere,
Illinois
Lastnight me and my girlfreind were comeing back from the dsm meet in schaumburg,IL and we get off the freeway and she pulls over and tells me her power steering went out so I pop the hood and her serpentine belt came off. Now the horriable part I SMELL COOLANT her overflow was smokeing so I run to check her temp gauge its peged out.
I looked for leaks and coulnt find anything opened her coolant cap and it was empty i open her drain #### and nothing (where did it all go).
I checked all coolant lines nothing cracked or poped off so I lost for where the coolant went and I have no idea why her belt poped off I tried to put it back on and theres no way it would have caome off it should of had plenty of tension. No cracks on the pulley either so again im lost no ideas.
Any thought of what I should look for or what could of happened. Has this ever happened to anyone eles. The car is a 98 gst spyder with 83,000 on it.Please any help or ideas would be great. I think we caught the heating problem right away befor she drove to much on it cause we turned it off and the car started to cool down within 5 mins. Where should I look for damage to the engine.
