Ok for some reason my shifting is messed up. I was pulling into a parking spot and needed to back up to get the car straight. the thing wouldnt shift at all ! not in reverse 1 ,2 ,3..... Its like it being block by something. So i got out check the clutch fluid , thats fine jumped back in pushed the clutch around in N for a little bit then it allowed me to shift. Also sometimes when im taking off it does that also. If i granny shift at like 25k its not that bad .

Sounds like the same problem I had a while back. I checked everything from my clutch to transmission and couldn't figure out what was wrong. After I spent a few days trying to figure out what it was I just took it into the shop. Turns out it was my master cylinder. Check your fluid lines to make sure you don't have a leak of some sort. BTW, the parts cost me a grand total of about $250 plus another $150 in installation. Good luck man...

That does sound like a faulty cylinder. Have you had to refill it anytime recent? If it is the master cylinder I think you could probably do it yourself. If you're up to it. I paid 125 dollars for my master cylinder and got in in about 45 minutes! And I bought it from the dealer. Hey Clipz99, are you sure it wasn't like 150 for parts and 200 for labor? My mitsu dealer only charged me 125.

well i was going to have my buddy look at it. I dont want to do through all that and then that not be the problem. BTW is there a way to test the MC ? or does someone have a pic of it ?

It's not hard to find the MC, it's connected to your clutch pedal. Get down under the dash and take a look to see if it's leaking. Check the slave cylinder while you're at it.

Is the MC the thing with the little reservoir connected to it ? case if it is i reaplced that before cause it was leaking fluid in my car.

That is indeed your master cylinder. (with the resevior on it). If you've had the mc replaced it sounds like the slave's gone. I replaced just my mc, but I think my slave is on its way. I heard if you're gonna do one, do the other. But in my case, I didn't have the money or the patience at the time.

Another question? Did you replace the resevior or the MC itself. The actual MC is bolted to the firewall! It may just be the MC if you replaced only the resevior. You'll probably still be getting fluid down on the pedal still also!

no replaced the entire thing, i removed it from the fire wall and took the pins off from in side where the clutch petal is and all that fun stuff.

It sounds like you knew more than you thought! As for the slave cylinder. I haven't tackled that project yet. I do know it is about 40 bucks at the mitsu dealer and its down near the tranny. What's in its way, I don't know, but I think you have the capability, since you did the mc!
