On the plug of the 1990 2.0 4G63, which pins are 1 and 2? The pic in the book isn't the most discriptive since it's not positioned the same as when it is on the car.

I am thinking its the bottem left (firewall side) and one above it.

Set your multimeter to mesure ohms. You put one of your multimeter termianls on the center pin and check the continuty of the terminals on each side of it. Then move down to the next row. It should be around 27-33. If its higher then you ISC is dead.

I did this test and both my ISC's passed but I still think they are dead. As they barely move when I turn on or off the car.

well the plug is on it's side though, but seeing as the ohm meter peged out... I guess it's the bastard thats causeing it. I also am wondering if it can cause the engine to run lean. Because last night I noticed the exhaust poping after I only had the cruse control set to 65mph on a mostly level highway and then let it sorta cool down as I slowly came down my road, but when I poped the hood the turbo was a bright cherry red like I had been playing with it. Thing is I wasn't...I dont want to think of when I have twice now OMG

Im going to re-test the ICS one last time today, and pressure test it. If it is the ICS I might just call a dealer and ask them how much to fix it... I JUST bought the ####in car and I dont feel like messing with this shit.

With the connector on it's side Im thinking it's like this.

---------
| 3 | 6 |
| 2 | 5 |
| 1 | 4 |
---------

If thats right, then on 1 & 2 & 4 & 5 the ohm meter peged out.. which is far from 22-33 ohms...

Just re-checked it, it peged out on all of them, that being..

1 & 2
2 & 3
4 & 5
5 & 6

So I guess it's safe to say it's dead, and there goes about $200...
:( stuipd bi*** would do this the day after I buy it...
