Welp, I finally finished off replacing all of the oilseals and finally found a new valve cover. Someone had overtorqued the nut on the valvecover and caused a nasty crack. Anyway I was finally going to take my car out, and as dumb as my friend was, he starts playing with my S-AFC.. He hit initialize, and yes. Which I believe reset everything, he didnt tell me though. Car ran fine for about 5 minutes, was really low on gas, then once on the way to get gas started spuddering at mid to high rpms.. so i figure maybe im really low on gas ;/ (never been low on gas in my life)... So I fill it up, and take it out, and it just wouldnt move past 2500 rpm, would spudder like crazy.. So i get home and check the afc, and its set to 6cyl and other settings, im like WTF, then my friend tells me what he did. I change it to Karman/4cyl, and have no knowledge trying to tune the fuel/air ratio. So i left that alone, it made a diff sound as soon as i changed it to karman while idling, and i could rev up to 7, but once i shifted into gear and tried driving, spudders at 3500 and higher, any ideas? Ive just been through tons of little problem repairs, and once something gets fixed, something always goes wrong =/

I wish it was the ignition, after reading another article I checked the coilpack, seemed clean for the most part, but I cleaned it up as much as I could.. still same thing, and check engine light stays on and what not.. as for tuning the afc, I rather get it dynotuned then risk me screwing it up. could that be the issue though, the afc?

Did you set the throttle sensor type properly? I believe it should be set to increasing voltage, but I honestly can't remember what mine's set to.

set it on the coil pack or the afc? -- as for the afc, i only set the valve sensor type to karman, and set it to 4cyl, I left it alone after that. I just wanted to know if the weird spuddering and what not could be a cause from the afc not being tuned?

Ok, so if you don't know what you set it to on the AFC then go check the setting. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read your manual.

The only things I've set are 4cyl, and karman. As for increasing voltage.. Where would I find the menu? Settings? Under what? Sorry, I've never really played with my afc up until this point
