Ok I installed my greddy type-s and when I let off the throttle it kinda sneezes and makes another wierd noise..kinda souds like a seagull or something(hard to explain). What my question is what does compresser surge sound like? and what do I do with the bottom nipple on the bov?...I have the larger one hooked up to the stock vacuum hose...what else do I need to do to fix/install it. I need help fast cause this is my dailly driver thanks!

does that flutter noise hurt my car at all? It gets louder with low boost and softer and non existent with higher boost. Thanks for the response

ok I hooked up another vacuum line to the bottom nipple(I t'ed it off the current vac line for the bov) and the flutter is still there...I really need help in finding out what I can do to fix it. It is backed all the way out as far as I can before it hits the hood and I cant close the hood. I dont know what to do.

Do not hook up the bottom nipple. That nipple is for really high boost situations where extra air pressure is needed to hold the BOV closed. The BOV flutters because the spring is too stiff to let all the air it smoothly. Basically, it should flutter at low PSI, like 0-7, and should sound nice and clean at 7-15 (or whatever you are running). Just loosen it to that point. Every BOV sounds different too, depends on your intake pipe, recirc pipe etc.

As long as it is not fluttering under mid-hi boost you are OK. And be careful of the hood. My UIP placed the screw right on the hood, and when the engine torqued, it made a nice line in my hood :(
