I installed the GM MAFT setup today, blow thru design. It took about 5-10 minutes to install. I have 550cc injectors so ri am setting 4 on the base..all the others are at zero. All dipswitches are off. I turn my DSM on and it jumps to 2k, then turns off after about 2-3 seconds. All i can get it to do is putter, poor thing . The MAF-T and translator are brand new. There is a small ding in the honeycombs in the GM MAF (damn UPS). could that be the problem? I highly doubt it seeing as the senor doesnt take readings form the honeycomb. What else could it be?

check to see if all couplers are tight.

also see if the maf plug is secured.

other than that call mike licht at fullthrottlespeed.com and ask him.

pz bro good luck

Datalog it. If it's not something you can tune out, it's an install problem.

However the fact tht it stalls out makes me think you screwed something up bad. Did you cut any wires by accident or something?

hey can someone help me out that has the maf t, I have one but I lost my instructions and I need to know which nob is for what and what each switch is for thanks.

oh yeah also make sure the plug that goes from the maf t to the old mas plug is on right. take the top of the maf t off go turn on the ing not starting the car and make sure the red light comes on I think it red

One of the plugs could be plugged in backwards (I can't remember which one it was). Make sure wires line up on both sides of the plugs like they are supposed to. Also in the manual, in troubleshooting, Mike outlines what voltages are supposed to be output. Grab a DVM and check those out.

"where is your white wire? Did you tap into the right wire that the white one is suppose to go to?"

It will run fine without the white wire, just not all features would be available.

02s are .15 -.06 under 2500...but normal 2600-7000. I adjusted the idle screw with no luck, it wont run any richer. However the throttle response is also terrible ..like its not getting any gas. Maybe my fuel filter is bad? My car did sit for 4 onths during the winter...any other suggestions?

I tried using one of the maft's on my Trans Am and didn't have any luck with it. Turning the dials from one extreme to another had very little effect on the a/f ratio.

Not so on my dsm. The dials definately make changes.

I just installed my MAFT today on my 1g. I know this is an old thread, but the wisemen in here can maybe help me out.

I'm having a problem, just with tuning the idle. I have a palm hooked up and am logging it. My voltage on the O2-R is at only .01V and my O2-F stays constant at 2.5 what does this mean? I tried to richen it up with the BIS screw and adjusted the tps a bit, turned the MAFT base knob to run richer all this while monitoring the palm right at the engine bay and nothing changed, it stays low as hell.

Anyone got a fix? I double checked all the plugs, the wiring. I am getting good readings on everything but this.

Is it possible for each adjustment, the battery must be disconnected, then reconnected for the ECU to learn it all over at the new setting?
