3 mechanics and still no cure,what the heck is happening??car don't start!!!

On Sunday morning I took out my car cause my sister was going to work like 6:45 am. Later on that day like about 7:30pm I turn on my car with the remote start(viper 790xv)I have.Well my car didnt start,it sounded like if the battery was low so.....I put a new battery on (from my 1969 mustang I have-ITS FOR SALE-)Damn car still wouldnt start...1 mechanic siad that the fuel pump had no current runing thought it cus it didnt make a nose it soppote to make.2nd said it was the alarm so I called the guys who put my alarm and they came and checked it out and said noo it wasnt it.3rd siad it was my timing but I havnt touch that and the blet hasnt broke.They all had different answers and none could fix it....plz help!!!I caould also tell they never worked on a mitsubishi.
that car sound like if it want to turn on but there's no battery but the battery is new...then we went to recharge the old one...and still no dice.. help

there is fuse I checked the whole cable a the way down to where the engine is.

Is there anyway the remote start throw the timing off?is this possible?how would I know if the fuel pump ain't working???
 
If I crank it enough can it smell brunt.I took out a spark plug.. damm it smelled like gas hardcore. The spark plug looked tossed up,I change them like 4 month ago or less.I already checked all of the fuse and theres no engine light on.when I crank it up I step on the gas and it seems like it wants to turn on..I think thats why the spark plug smell the gas??I'm guessing damn I wonder what the hell is going on??for some reason I think the remote start has something to do with it but thats just a guess:shhh:
 
if the car ran fine before you put in the remote start system, i would say that yes, somewhere in the wiring of the alarm is where your problem is. You said that your battery was kinda dead when you tried to start it. Seems like the alarm is sucking a lot of juice too, wiring seems to be the culprit, i would go back to the shadetree mechanic you had install it and have him check it again. Worst case i would uninstall it and check it then, you will definitley troubleshoot it and find out if it is the alarm wiring that way, then u can start to eliminate other things.

suspect alarm wiring
possible fuel pump, listen for hmmmmm
i seriously doubt it is the timing if the motor was not tampered with.

No what I meant was it -SOUNDED- like the battery was dead, when I tryed turing it on......But the battery was full...I think its just the remote start.I had to go to work today but I got the day off tomarrow so..Im going to tow it the dealer if I just can get it to work...If i get fixed I'll let you guys Know thanks for helping me trouble shoot it.
 
OK...... its been a month since I open this thread and here's the update.....I was gone for 3 weeks so i didnt get the chance to fix my car,sooo... I finally took it to a car electronic shop cause I thought it was my alarm that caused all of this $hit....... turns out that there is "No spark to the injecters and the spark plugs get a little bit of spark but then it shuts off..... like if theres a short" <---words of danny from the shop.There charging me $250 for laybor + parts.They dont know what it is yet so, they havnt told me how much the part are going to be:cry:

Does anyone have a clue what could be the problem????has this happend to anyone here before??? Am i being over charged($250)?
plz reply with any comments!!! I need as much help,advice as I can get.

You shouldn't be paying for parts you might not need. They should charge a diagnostics fee, and then once they find out whats wrong, charge you the parts and labor. Don't pay for anything except the diagnostic fee upfront.
 
My girlfriend's dad use to be a mechanic. He said that when they didn't know what the exact problem was, they would just start buying random parts that they suspected were at fault. The customers would get charged for all the parts they would buy. The dealership has the luxury of replacing random parts and if they don't work out they will just put them back on the shelf and charge you nothing.


Maybe the weak spark is from a bad coil pack?
 
yup your right LucifersChild the coil pack---put the thing is I change the coil from an eclipse that was working..but the shop told me it was the whole system:confused: He said that the was good (I change it)but the part that spraks or works with the coil was mess up :confused: I guess its a 2 part system........well the total was $350 bigggggg ones:cry:

I finished this post up to soon...I went to pick up my car and NOW THEY SAY IT NOT THE COIL PACK LIKE THEY FRIST SAID......NOW THEY SAY ITS THE WHOLE ECU---THAT THE WHOLE COMPUTER IS BRUNED...IS THIS POSSIBLE?????IF THE ECU GOES DOWN WOULD IT STILL BE ABLE TO READ GAUGE AND METERS?????FOR SO REASON I DONT THINK ITS THE ECU.........PLEASE TELL ME YOU THINK:cry: THERE CHRANGING ME 900 FOR THE LABOR AND PARTS!! IF I GET IT DONE

it is possible it is the ecu....
 
Ok I am guessing by the fact that shops are doign all your work that you are not mechanically inclined. With this in mind I would learn to work on cars it will save you a ton. The replace the ECU takes 30 mins and maybe 3 tools. You can find one onthe trader for around 200 bucks and have it done instead of paying 900, your call. Yes it could be the ECU but it sounds like the shop is just trying stuff and not actually fixing anything. Good luck.

for about 300-400 you can get a mint socketed, re furbished tested ecu with an upgraded chip that is really the best way to go for ecu. if you get one that hasnt had the capacitors replaced you will be buying another soon. or just find a buddie and try his or even a cheap tested but not refurbished ecu for like 80 bucks. just to see if it changes anything.

Whoever is working on your car sounds like they are clueless and are just hoping the parts they replace will remedy your problems.

Do your homework on this. It will be very helpful and cheaper on your wallet. Find a new shop. It could be the ecu but doubt it. Tried new spark plug wires and coil pack. If you smell fuel there is zero fuel issue. so dont look into that as a cause. good luck man.

I don't think he is having a problem by now, this was in 2004!!!!
