i know your not really supposed to do this but i was bored and felt like doing something so i took off the dump tube to my intake and put a film canister in the dump tube started my car and air was coming out off the 2nd gen pos bov at idle thats not supposed to happen right that supposed to stay closed right? then i drove down the road when i get on it slowly the car hesitates when it hits boost thats not supposed to either right. if a smash it then it doesn't hestitatei'm just guessing that the 2nd gen blowoff valve is a complete peice of crap. i'm gonna get the 1st gen bov and eventually get the gm blowthru set up. thanks guys

The BOV is opened by vacuum, which is second-highest at idle (highest at coastdown).

Until you get that blow-through, don't try to vent.
