Starter problem?

I think I have a starter problem. When I start my car it makes a grinding noise only for a second and only in the morning when it is cold. I think the starter is staying engaged. How hard is it to replace the starter? Where is it located?

It should be directly underneath your intake. It is not fun to get to, but the bolts are at least on the transmission side. The only hard part would be getting the wires off of it from the other side. I have a starter I can sell you if you want one, but it is for a 1g, so I don't know if it will fit, but I think it should. -Ross
