ecu gone bad?

hey... i have a 94 talon nt 2.0 5speed.

well my car started to only run on 2 cylinders and we thought it was the coil pack...so i changed that...but it still did it. so i had a mechanic look at it and he used a test light and tested the wires coming out of the ecu and the ones going to the coil pack wernt sending a signle for it to fire...so only one of the coil packs was fireing....so he said it was a bad computer......so i bought a new ecu from advanced...and it deffinatly was the wrong one...then i exhcnaged it for another one (the only other one they offer for my year)...and its the wrong one...when they looked it up they didnt even use my md number....so now im going to get my money back and my old ecu back...


does it sound like its not the ecu?...

or is it just that i need a new one and need to find the right one?

im thinking of getting it towed to a shop and get it looked at, but if any of you know the prob it would be great help

this is exactly my problem now as far as the car running on 2 cylinders. and i have replaced the coil pack , wires, plugs, cam/crank angle sensor, but i have the awd turbo model. i found a really good place to send your ECU to... heck they might even have one instock! anyway you can send them your ECU they will test it for free on a car and call you back and let you know then if it is repaiable they will fix it the same day. They gave me a price quote of $200 + Shipping but that is for the AWD turbo ECU. here is their info

Sounds liek leaky capasiters, common problems on 1g's. do you have a dead spot anywhere?
