I realize that this isn't the classifieds section....but I am looking for someone local to my area.
Looking for a serious Mitsubishi enthusiast to buy my car. If not, it's going to be locked up in a shop for the next few years....it won't cost me a dime to do this, but I don't want the car to sit and not make any progress. It starts, runs, and drives, but needs attention in a few places. Motor is rock solid and better balanced than the 63.....but you can drop your 4g63t motor in without doing any modifications. Any upgrades you can to do a 1g DSM, you can do with this car....even convert it to AWD, if you wanted to.
Rare - 1 of 1,500 imported. If you don't know about these cars, do your research but don't bother me to give you a history lesson.
Most of the bad about the car is a cheap and easy fix, but I don't have time or money to do so. I'll start off listing that right out of the box. Needs new downpipe between turbo to the cat, replace the 1990 1g throttle position sensor (code to prove it), replace driver's side door handle (it's there, but the plastic part that operates the lever broke), new ignition tumbler, front tires need alignment & rear wheel bearings.
Now the good: imported new 4g61t motor 30k miles ago, installed a fresh timing belt 20k miles ago, upgraded transmission with a 90k mile (I saw the odometer from the donor car) 1g turbo f5m33 5 speed which shifts great and no grinds, power windows, new brakes up front, Brembo rotors in rear, KYB Gr-2 struts all around with lowering springs, 1g sidemount intercooler, 450cc injectors, 1g MAF, K&N filter, no boost leaks, newer radiator, newer axles, newer clutch & pressure plate & throw out bearing (3,000 miles old), both outer tie-rods replaced, new clutch master cylinder, new battery (relocated to the rear with circuit breaker).
The interior is fairly good, but the front seats could use some stitching. Has a few minor dings on the front fenders. 170k miles on the chassis. Rear wheel bearings are getting louder by the day, so I sparingly drive it right now. I'm leaving the area by this time next month, and hope to find a serious buyer before then. Absolutely no tire kickers. Please give this car a second chance at life. If not, it's going to be locked up and secure for quite a few years until I return.
Don't pester me about seeing the car unless you have money.....there are many who have never seen a factory turbo mirage, and that could soak up all my time right there alone. Title in hand.
