Meets for Local North End Seattle Dsmer's

Just getting some feedback and opinions. I was wondering since there are meets in Bellevue every couple of weeks to see if we can have some meets in the north end area since it is kind of far to travel to Bellevue every couple of Saturdays.
So the questions are:
1) Is anyone down meeting in North end area like Everett/Lynnwood area?
The meets will be on different saturdays then the Bellevue meets to avoid conflict.
2) Location is key. Any suggestions? I only have one which is Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood which has a parking garage for those rainy days.

Those are the majors questions until we get that settled then we will figure out time and dates. Since its spring time we have alot of light coming soon and we need to make the best of it.

Well let me know what you guys think. The sooner we get these questions solved the sooner the North End dsmer meets will begin.

I wouldnt consider Everett or Lynwood a north end meet as Seattle and bellevue are only like 20 minutes south of there. North would be like Marysville mt Vernon or Bellingham. South end I would consider Tacoma or further south . I mean what's 20 minutes from Everett to Seattle in heavy traffic.

how about us island folk. whidbey, and cammano, or even the port townsend/port angeles area? would be closer for us to be in lynnwood/everett. and whats 10 mins from marysville to everett in hardly any traffic?

ALTHOUGH THE MUKILTEO FERRY DOCK PARK HAS A NICE HUGE PARKING LOT for say over 300+ cars?

also in my other post i did mention something about you bellingham guys. i would not attend a mt vernon meet period

Well if you want the north guys to come there is gonna need to be a compromise it's like over an hour for me to drive to Everett making it too far for an hour meet. Mt Vernon would be good for everyone I think no matter where you comming from whatcom, island or snohomish county it's kinda central I think and guys south of lynwood can choose to got to belevue or mt Vernon probably same distance or travel time

That meet goes every two weeks. I have not been there for about a month or so. it was a good start with couple of dsm's and evos.
I will probably swing by this saturday.
But I was trying to get a meet started in the Everett area because Bellevue is quite a bit far. oh well so I might go down this saturday.

yeah 28 miles from everett to bellevue isnt too bad doing 65 plus.

my house to everett is 79.22 miles and its still 45.91 miles from my house to mt vernon. id be willing to make the trek every other week tho if there was a good turn out.

it would be far less for you to come up to mt vernon from everett 34.09 miles them for me to go from my housing to mt vernon

and lynwood to mt vernon is about the same distance as from my house 46.56

and oak harbor to mt vernon is 28.84 miles seems like the most likely central location to me .

If you look back at the PNW January meet I set up years ago, I hold the record I think of lik almost 40 DSMs showing up at alderwood.

Honestly, the game has changed, people arent all into the DSM as much becuase of the Evos dropping a ton in price.

Also - Bellevue for me in South Everett, is 30 minutes away, and so is Seattle. Everett is a good "north end" spot for some central sound and northend guys to meet and hang.

I would bring mine out, but the damn weather wont stop with the rain, and I'm still finishing a few projects up on her.

I believe I was at that meet , I have pictures you remember a red and black 91 gsx with chrome rims and a white husky in the passenger seat lol .

Yah Everett is way to far for me to go on a regular basis . If you guys decide on everett and not mt Vernon I guess I won't be able too attend that would be a 2.5 hour round trip drive just to hang for 2 hours making it a 5 hour trip . Like I said before Bellevue is only 30 minutes from Everett why not make it closer for the north guys so we can come ?

Everett is not a central location for anyone is skagit whatcom or island county it's too far south and dsm's don't get 35 miles per gallon at least none ive ever owned. If you go by mileage mt Vernon is the most central location for all between lynwood and the Canadian boarder .

Ok Guys what's the deal?

Its almost summer time and I think its time to start a bi weekly meets at Alderwood mall in Everett/Lynnwood. I think either Saturdays or another day that will be suitable for mostly everybody. Saturday sounds reasonable due to it is a weekend, usually people don't work and not much traffic if traveling from a distance.

Any one have any dates in mind? if possible June if not first week of July. Let me know or comment here on ideas or suggestions.

Lets get these meets started!!!

^ Good luck!!, I would be there but the car is still in the shop awaiting a dyno tune, maybe I'll go to the one on the 15th.

As for the meet it's a little too far north of me but if it gets popular I will make a few apperances

Ok dsmer's I have somewhat of an idea for the meets. Attached is the location of Alderwood mall where I think the meets should take place (Bi-weekly).
Alderwood Mall Located in Lynnwood, WA.

I picked some spots and just wanted some opinions or comments. Let me know what you guys think.

#1 Parking garage with about 5 floors and the top floor (uncovered) there is lots of room and no one parks there. Same with one floor down but it is covered if raining. But it is next to the Movie theaters where it gets crowded getting to the parking structure.

#2 Parking garage with about 3 floors that is right next to JC penny (I think) but this garage connects directly to the mall. This structure is alittle more crowded then #1 but still a good place to meet.

#3 If all else fails (parking, booted out of garage by mall security, etc) There are some parking in between Buffalo Wild wings (Next to Red Robin) and Fatburger, by the Ross Store. Just in case you guys are hungry.

I don't know how the mall security are, if they are strict or what not. Let me know if this is a good idea. Or if we should choose a different location. The mall is close to the freeway so no should get lost finding it and its not raining as much so it should be a good time to start some DSM/EVO meets.
I will post on other dsm and Evo forums to gain some interest and as always no Please, DO NOT SPEED, REV, BURNOUTS OR DO ANYTHING STUPID IN ANY LOCATION if this does go down having meets.

I also decided on some dates either to start on June 23rd or July 7th and these will be bi-weekly. We can always change the venue, date, time if needed.
Just want to know your opinions and to see if you dsmer's are down to have meets.

I like this idea, there have been meets in the parking garage by the theater, security comes to make sure nothing funny is goin on but if were good ( no
Burnouts rev
Launches etc.. should be no problem, red robbin is next to buffalo wild wings. Not in replacement of, but that could be a good spot, or even the H mart parking
Lot close by.
Lots of cars pass and could see the meet and possibly get some passer-bys to check out some dsm action!

it might be Alternator, check the voltage while car is running and it should be around 13.5-14 volts.

Man I would love to go to these meets but until I figure why my car messes up after a little drive I wont be able to see some nice dsm's. If only I can get the help of an expert, sigh...

Oh and I'm glad you guys didnt choose Everett. The cops around here on weekends patrol all up 99, mall way and evergreen. At the Walmart there
are two under covers waiting for the littlest thing to get someone. Across the mall there is a parking lot where the top food used to be and isnt any longer used and there isnt security. The only other problem is...its next to the police station lol. There used to be a warehouse in north everett that was huge enough to fit tons of cars and was enclosed were no one would really bother.
