My current mechanic has gotten REALLY flaky and I'm fed up!

Does anybody know of a good shop that I could take my car to? I know of PINA motorsports, but that is just too far, I need something more local. I know of Speedware, but from what I've heard they are really expensive. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks!

PINA would be the way to go... They are great guys and do good work from what i hear and are very knowledgeable when it comes to the 4G63. I have talked to Ryan a couple of times and have great customer service. Besides that I don't know...Sorry man?

Man, Pina is not to far if you live on the west side of the mountains. I live in Olympia, and I'd still take my car there if I had a 4g63 no questions asked.

Other than that, there are a couple of places in the Tacoma/Parkland/spanaway/Lakewood area, but pina has to be the best out of all of them. (except for my mechanic of course in parkland.....LOL)

Or if your really serious torque freaks is down in portland OR. but they are world renouned and definately would hook your ish up.

His name is Brian "Patrick" Clark, he used to work at Axiom, until he quit, He (imo) is was the back bone of that shop, and well I'm enjoying him helping me out with my ride.

Right now he's starting up his own shop, down the street from the put put golf off of steele street. "paulsons automotive" He's in the same building.
If you end up swinging by tell em Randy sent ya.

I second that...Brian definitely knows his stuff. Randy told me about him. I would think about it if you want someone local to check out your ride who has more than a couple of years in the industry.

Cool, thanks guys. I'll probably check out PINA when I get a chance, but like I said, they are a drive for me. I'm generally really busy, so it helps to have something close by. For major things I might go there. I'll at least go to check it out though.

Honestly man, if you want things done right, especailly for the right price, its worth the drive. Kirkland is not that far from pina.

People come from all over the world just to get tuned by torque freaks. They fly people in, give them rental cars while there down here, hotels etc.

you can go to stage performance tuners its sort of by totem lake behind the subaru dealer. They do installs and everything. I havent had anything installed by them but they are pretty knowledgeable. I have gone to them and asked questions and they helped me out everytime. You should check them out.

Im pretty sure they got tuned by John Reed, John no longer works at TQF, he works at RREV.

If you gonna come to Portland for dsm, go nowhere but EnglishRacing.

:talon:

Look up Maltby Motorsports in Woodinville. Guy to talk to is Cam (convenient name). he did my motor rebuild and a bunch of others. He was a viper mechanic at Dodge of Bellevue and Dodge of monroe before starting his own thing. My 420A was the first he worked on and right after he did a neon r/t full up more than mine. That neon is for sale now at his shop. He's beena great guy for me and is actually giving me pointers on my car since I'm doing more motor work on it on my own.

He's really busy and has a lot of projects going on right now. If you can leave your car for a while since these builds take some time, I'm sure you can get a pretty good price. there'sa lot of writeups too if you want to do it yourself. whatever it is your doing. Mines apart in my garage now!

The BEST shop no matter where in Washington is Kaizen Speed in Kennewick and you wont be dissapointed. And if you live on the west side theres no other place to go. And thats a fact. Call them up, 509-585-0900. Ask for Reid
