so here's the problem, my TB shaft seals are broken and leak, both sides, either the new set or old set, i can only get SKF from kragen so i dont know if that is why but from what i read they are the same company(Chicago rawhide and SKF).

so this is how it happened, about a month ago at a meet i dsmlink "anti-lagged" which is really a delayed spark so two stepped... i had done my shaft seals before so i assumed it was the same problem from 6 months ago, so i ordered new ones... well when i put the new ones nothing happened nothing changed. still leaking to this day...

on a sidenote i cannot get the seals in without "skinning" them and that just annoys me. so the new and old set both leak now... and were both around 12 dollars... ahhh

and im about to just buy my whole setup and go broke so my car runs... frick.:ohdamn:

well looks like i'm going to bother Sean at fftec again on thursday if possible im tired of looking at my talon in the rain and driving my van(my van is FWD >_<)...

If the ones you're using are the same as the ones offered by Mach V, I typically can't get them in without taking a bit off of the outside.

Are you sure you installed them correctly (open side inwards)? Was everything else reinstalled correctly?

I don't know what to suggest. I've rebuild a lot of throttle bodies for people and have yet to hear of the seals leaking.

so i got it pressure checked and it was fine, but i'm using my back up 93 tb and i couldn't get seals for that from work either so i rtv'd it just to make sure everything was sealed... and it was, didn't solve my hesitation >_< its been quite a while since i've been on sorry about the delayed response ugh i hate working 40 hours and having school my car keeps getting brushed to the side poop, and still no idea what it is cause i haven't had time to bother FFTec...

yeah jz call sean and tell him your problem, he'll help you out with that.. do another boost leak test again, check your sparkplugs and wires...test your coil, check your fuel filter also....

Anybody know how much it is to get a throttle body rebuilt? I believe mine is leaking.

it is cheaper to pull out yourself at junkyard.... i got 1g tb for $30
