Need help in South Bay Area/SJ area.

Hi, I'm planning to check out a 2G Turbo down by Cupertino/Campbell area. I think it might be a good idea to bring it to a mechanic for some inspections. Anyways, could anyone help me identify a shop that I could just bring the car and get it checked out?

if you need a qualified shop to take it to, i would give fftec a call. www.fftec.com they are the go to shop in the bay area, and they are located in union city. i think the best thing to look for when buying a dsm is the records. ask for detailed maintenance records if they have it. find out when the timing belt/balance shaft belts were last done. see if they have serviced the recalls. if it has mods, find them out and post them up here and we can give you an idea of how the car should peform and such as to not have the owner bs you about how fast it is.

The things that I know about this car is that:
This guy is the 3rd owner, car was last from Missouri area.
The car has 110k miles, new head, no mods. The turbo is OEM, so 110k on it also.
It has just been sitting in the garage since December - no daily/regular driving since then. The car has just been taken out from the garage atleast once a month to just have it run.
