Setting up a 75 shot wet on my 90' GS-T

The only mods to the car are a 3inch 02 eliminator D/P w/ wastegate dump to atmoshpere, 255lph inline pump, and a K&N. Tomorrow Im getting a MSD 6a, boost and A/F gauges, and a window switch. Im gonna run open D/P with race gas (108 or more octane) and try to get a pair of slicks to make a trip to the track in a couple weeks. I was wondering if the car will run descent times with no way of tuning and pretty much stock everything. Is there anything else I will need to make it down the track (bigger injectors)? Also how should I set the timing? Im also wondering if 110 traps are out of the question; Im only intrested in mph and dont really care about E.T. I have no experience with DSMs and Im gonna be selling the car soon so this may be my only chance to get a respectable time.

uhhhh....drive it off a cliff then. should get a nice mph.

get a boost controller and turn the boost up, stop adding fuel without adding air.


Actually, sell it to my GF before you #@%#@%#@%#@%-it up, she knows how to use a DSM.

Im not trying to build a 14second 99mph P.O.S. so that staged #@%#@%#@%#@% is useless to me.:rolleyes: I want this thing to go 110 traps...Come on Alsan where the hell are you.
 
Why would you want only a 110mph??
If you dont know the cars then why bother??
I am just so confused by this.
 
I dont want only 110traps I want at least 110traps. I only want as much mph i could possibly get with this combo.
I know a little about DSMs and the 4G63 but no first hand experience.
 
Well I dont want to break anything with slicks and I have a shitty clutch so the car isnt gonna E.T. well. I probally wont even be able to break into the 13s. My free modded TSi used to spin through first and chirp second; I plan on this GSt to have 80-100hp more than that TSi so it will have terrible wheel spin.

I would definately recommend bigger injectors, atleast 550's.

I still wouldn't take the chance, especially when your talking turbo and nitrous, PERIOD... It's cheaper to buy a set of 550's and play it very safe, than it is another engine IMHO.
 
The boost will be set at 10psi or as low as I can get it with a vacuum line directly off the turbo to intercooler pipe to the wastegate. If it only creeps to 17psi I will put a bleeder in the line. I want it to creep to 19-20psi; I will be running C16.

Is it me or did you just completely contradict yourself here? First you say you want the boost low at 10psi, then you say you want it to creep to 19-20psi. What good is that 20psi going to do without an FMIC to cool that air? You will just be pushing in hot air with it that high. Happy Piston melting!

When the nitrous is injected, it will probably provide all the cooling he will need, even without a fmic.
 
The nitrous will cause the car to boost creep. It will also cool the intake temp more than any FMIC ever could.
 
Just a little sidenote, the 14B is still fairly efficient at 20-22 psi with the stock smic, assuming you're using racegas. I've ran 22psi numerous times on my car with racegas and had under 3 counts of knock. Proper tuning makes a world of difference.

Of course, this guy isn't even going to be tuning #@%#@%#@%#@%, so he'll likely blow his engine!!!
 
What are you using for tuning? Im thinking of picking up a logger and a SAFC. What times and mph are you seeing at 22psi?
 
When are you gonna stop posting these questions on here when you know you can just ask me directly? First off guys, I know this guy. He's definately in the process of learning, but grasps info much better than about 75% of the other newbie DSM'ers out there, so lay off a little. He's asking a valid question, just not wording it correctly.

On motor, with those mods, the car (provided everything else is in running order) should go 106-107 on motor, and with (I suggest a 50, not a 75) shot wet, it should go 112-114mph. Set the timing back to stock (5 degrees BTDC) gap the plugs to .028" (run NGK BPR7ES) With this setup and the 50 shot, you can run the car with no fuel tuning. And YES, leave the boost at 10psi because on the spray, it WILL creep to 18-19-20+ pounds. Let me know if you need any help, and for God's sake, stop asking the Fast and Furious crowd how to setup nitrous!!
