I just rewired my shurflo pump to eliminate some problems I might be having. Has anyone done a before and after and seen any results? I'll hopefully take the car out tonight and see if it changes anything.

Why do you seem to be having so many problems with your alky system? I thought you just put it in recently. Did you try and make it yourself or buy a real kit from some one?

the reason i ask is i have teh devils own and all it took was to get teh right amount of meth adn water, then the right nozzle and now it's been teh best thing since buttered bread when on pump gas. I ran lean enough 12.2:1 under 20 psi last night with no knock at 16* locked timing all the way to 8k RPM. it wasn't untill i tried another pull in third that i blew my tranny. IT's like having race gas now that i've got it figures out for what my car wants in teh meth/water mix and what nozzle

after looking at your profile it seems like you have a rather nice setup. Is ther soemthing in particular that's causing you issues? LEt me know, maybe i can help, i ahv eover 10 years in stand alone experience if it might be in the tune some where or the input output setup

I'm not having problems with the meth. I think my problem is that I'm trying to push my current setup too far. The car is fine at 23psi and 16 deg of timing but I'm running very rich and want to get to about 19 deg. There's two other things also. My nozzle is about an inch and a half from the uicp flange and at wot the yellow fault light flickers. The Devils Own guys suggested the rewire.
When I did it I noticed that my ground was horribly placed. Once I get my tranny back in line I'll take her out and let you know how it goes.

Cool, just wondering. I have the base kit, no lights or anything, but i just made sure the pump worked when i put the relay harness in i jumped the pins with a paper clip to turn it on and flush the lines and tested nozzle spray patterns.

I did notice that running too rich with meth i was getting more knock, I started tuning leaner and leaner on the meth and the knock went away, all the way to 12.2:1 with no knock or even any signs of being on the edge of knock) Try leaning it out a bit, i'll be willing to wager that you could be knocking from over fueling if your AFR's are rich enough to be in the 10's especially. On meth at 11.5:1 the knock was gone, i just kep going leaner to test what ive read and learned about the limits of meth injection from searching this board for hours on end.

What nozzle are you running? Before i spit my tranny out 2 days ago, i went up to the M10 from the 7 (running a 70/30 meth to water mix) And there was no detonation, the J&S was actually wanting to advance timing more than 16* but i had it restricted to 16 max. And since it was wanting to advance i could have probably pulled 18-20* out of it easily, and this was at 20psi and still a 12.2:1 AFR. Now i have the injection set to come on at 10psi instead of the 14 i was using. and it seems to work a little better coming on early as well.

Maybe you should " simplify" your kit into a basic one untill you can get the bugs worked out. Tehn once it's functioning properly add your controller and lights back in one at a time and test so that you can see where the real issue is.

So do you have the full prgressive module too
