I've been spraying a 75shot on 19lbs of boost. How safe is this?

On my setup I've been running a 75shot of nitrous with 19lbs of boost on the stock SMIC. I did this with NGKs BPR7ES plugs, and 114 leaded gas. I'm running a ZEX dry kit. So far my timming and EGTs look good down the track. My best time doing this was a 12.3 @ 111mph. I spray right of the line with alsmost no tire spin. I don't engage the nitrous untill 3500rpm. So far I have only used it with race gas. I've been running about .95v on race gas just to be safe too. Just today I installed a Supra SMIC so hopefully my intake charge will be a little cooler. I'll be cheking my compression tommrow if I have time to see if it's still ok. I have used almost three bottles of nitrous. My main Question is how safe do you guys think this is? I'm running with stock internals. Do you guys think I'm pushing it a bit to far?

I think your pushing just a little but as long as you keep an eye on those egt's you'll be alright. The zex kits pretty safe too it's supposed to shut down if it gets too lean. The intercooler thing should be fine nitrous will cool the intake charge. I definately would'nt spray without race gas.

The Zex kit doesn't monitor a/f in any way. It won't shut down if it runs lean. The Venom kit will. I was able to run a 55shot on pump gas with out many problems. But I belive it was just at the edge of almost knoking. If the engine got to warm it would start to pull timming.

You should be able to run a 75shot with stock internalls and pump-gas. I would only be worried about spark. Maybe you should upgrade your ignition. Look at NosLaser, He sprayed a 75shot on pump gas with 20psi and as far as I know the Laser never showed any signs of not liking the nitrous. I dont see any reason to be afraid, I will be doing the same thing on a 14b in a few months:D !

That's good to know. Thanks. I haven't had any missfire yet. I think my spark is good so far.

Take any advice Aslan can give you, he knows best
