i was just offered a REALLY cheap price on a Nitrous setup. i was just wondering if it would be safe or not. and if so how big of a shot would be safe to run and what RPM range it would be safe to fire it up at. i dunno whether or not i want it, but for the price, it'd be hard to pass it up. maybe i could put it on my saturn. LOL i think it's a wet shot. it's not direct port either.

i don't know how to use nitrous though. i've never used it. i know what it does, but not sure where, like gearing or RPM range, to use it in. and whether to go with a wet shot or a dry shot. i was just wanting some tips, and what kind of 1/4 improvements to expect with proper tuning.

You probly shouldnt use it ,Its unsafe;) If its really cheap send it my way so you dont hurt your motor. Just looking out for you dude.Just kidding. But if you dont want it let me know:D

If the kit will be used on your 97 GSX, I recommend a small shot, such as a 40 shot due to the fact that you have a T25 on the car. When you spray, nitrous creates a large exhaust pulse, and in turn, if that exhaust pulse has to travel out of a small T25 turbo, you will get hella backpressure and hella EGTs which will result in best case scenario, a blown turbo, and in a worse case scenario, burnt exhaust valves. It would prolly be safe to spray a 40 shot on your GSX, and a gain of 50+HP would not be unreasonable, I just question the longevity of the T25. Always spray above 3-3.5K rpm because you don't want excess load on the motor. Make sure your oil is good, and everything is in proper working order just to minimize the risk. It's always best to experiement on a more stock car with a small shot to familiarize yourself with how everything works. I'd go into more detail if you had already purchased and were installing the kit, but for now it's kinda useless. Let me know if you pick it up, and we'll go from there.

Regards,
