This is probably a pretty simple question. (and I did search first). Should I route the nitrous feed line under the carpet or under the car?? I would rather do it under the carpet, but if it has to go under the car, then I will. What do you guys recommend? Is there any downsides to either?? Give me as much insight as possible.

Thanks -Paul-

Well, it can't get rock-nicked under the carpet, but then you have the famous DSM firewall to futz with. The fuel lines seem to survive out there, and there should be less stuff to rip out of the way once a hole's been punched or found in the trunk floor. I think it's going to just come down to personal preference. Woud you rather take out interior pieces, or lay in the dirt and catch grit with your eyes?

i ran it under all the carpet, and up to a rubber gasket in the firewall that was there for all the wires coming into the ECU. i didn't want to run it underneath because i didn't want to drill a hole through the car to run the line on the outside. it's probably safer inside, and it's certainly easier.

Excellent, I'll just run it underneath the carpet. Next month, I'll be taking my interiour out anyway. I have to dye my seats and install new black carpet. With everything out of the car, it should be an easy process. Oh, and I got an excellent place on the firewall to run stuff through. :thumb:

Thanks for the help.

Just for the record there is absolutly no problem with putting it under the carpet vs. under the car. There is no safty issue either way and no problem with NHRA tech by having it under the carpet.

Some people used to believe that its dangerous to put the line under the carpet but having the bottle inside the car was ok for some reason? Anyway that simply isn't true, you can run the line where ever you want.
