i installed my zex purge kit today on my zex system, and i have to say. what the hell am i supposed to do with 2 feet of steel braided -3an line coming from the zex brain to the purge solenoid? i have no options of where i can purge, i had to purge out from underneath the hood up the windshield, which looks a little ghetto for me. is there a place i can buy a male-to-male connector and a -3an steel braided line that's longer than 2 feet? i'd like to get it to the front of my car, if that's not too much to ask.

i mounted my purge solenoid and connected it right to my zex box.... i then hand bent hard brake line to purge where i wanted it and connected it to the purge solenoid using pressure fittings....

Goto your local auto parts place and buy a 6 foot secion of brake line. You can attach that to the purge end and route it where ever you want to purge. Use the sleve and compression fitting supplied with the little 2 foot piece of rod you got in the kit. It doens't matter if it leaks at the fitting really it's a purge, thats what it does is leak, just don't wanna blow the purge line off LOL.. The 2" of braided line is from the box to the solenoid, so just mount the solenoid in a close location and use the purge line to run it far so you can purge where you want.

Bend the brake line around your sockets in a vice and make sure you keep your hands over the line nice and even so it doesn't kink. You can use different sized sockets for different bends. You'll get the idea when you start. Just cut it off with a hack saw when you have it finished so you have the proper length and enjoy.

You can also polish the brake line as it's aluminized steel, just use some autosol on a cloth and jerk it baby....

i went to kragen (always an adventure) and i got 6 feet of brake line. all i have to say is: wow, what convienence. All I had to do was run to home depot and get a female to female coupler so the brake line could securely attach to the outlet fitting on the purge solenoid. definitely easy, thanks for the help everyone.

yeah, i'll take some pics once the shitty website i ordered my digital camera from decides to do their job and actually ship it out. errrr, anyways, when i had the short 12" brass line hooked up, it was a 6 foot long plume of dense white vapor. now that i have it hooked up to the front of my car at the bumper, i can't see it now :p which is uncomfortable for me, cause i'd like to see it and hear it, instead of just hearing it.\

the only reason i bought the purge kit was so i didn't have to manually bleed the lines with a wrench every time i closed the bottle. i would like to say i purge before a race to get the nitrous right at the solenoid, but the new trend in california is to upgrade your car and never race it, so i havn't seen a race in a long time.
