I have a 90pearlGST that I am buying parts for but not putting them on yet until I have everything I need. So far I have
20g port and clipped
9.1 20over JE pistons
eagle rods
titanium retainers and springs
stainless steal valves
full 3"inchexhaust
HKS wastegate with 2nd gen ported manifold
Ported and polished head and intake manifold
Buscher FMIC
2nd gen mass air
SAFC
And all my gauges egt, boost etc
turbo timer,manual boost control
N.O.S direct port n20 kit 100-150shot
I know I still have alot of stuff to get so you don't have to tell me unless it has to do with helping me with my question. I am trying figure out what kinda injectors to get for my n20setup I was told 660s in DSMtalk forums after asking the same question since the n20 direct is gonna supply enough fuel for lack there of. But another question that wasn't answered wouldit be betterformeto get a n20 progression kit or can myengine with it built ofcourse take an instant100shot to it without any real stress or increased chance of blowing it?

Thanx for the help

a progressive controller would be a good idea with a fwd. although you're going to be having major traction issues w/o nitrous...

Yeah I know its a good idea but will I need it based on the amount of n20 I'm usinng and the bottomend work that I have?

yes/no/maybe? i don't know. it would take a lot more info for anyone to say if you _need_ it or not...
i don't really see what you need nitrous for in the first place - especailly 100-150 shot. 20g doesn't need help spooling and if you're looking for more power, the efficiency goes up pretty high, so turn the boost up.
my best guess is no you don't need the controller. just start low and work your way up with your boost/nitrous combo.
lots of datalogging and tuning.

Just as marshall said, yes/no/maybe. You are asking a pretty open ended question here. You are on the right track using a built motor, and it seems you have taken the proper pre-cautions. However, with merely an AFC to control fuel, I'm gonna say 'no' it will not take the 100 shot and run well. When you start getting into higher HP applications, you need to have more tunability. Yes, people 'have' done it, but it's definately not the best, nor do I recommend that way of doing it. I would suggest getting yourself at least a PMS so you can control fuel, timing, etc. AND you have the added bonus of a seperate nitrous table. I always suggest for people to start off small, and work their way up. Never just hit a 4 cylinder with 100 shot right off the bat. That's a LOT of power for that motor to ingest, and if your tuning is off even just a little, you could be asking for trouble. I suggest more tunability, and to start off small, turn the timing back down to stock, and run good gas...then work your way up from there.

Regards,

Yeah I didn't get the n20 for spooling purposes I already have it on my nissan and since I got my DSM I wanted to have that available too. Ok then thats what I will have to do then start low hmmm 90shot... do'h just kidding maybe as low as 75 or something. I figure I will get a standalone soon but not right now since the money is tight with the 2project car thing which I recommend don't do. Ok guys thanx
