My ballsack huh? Yikes!

I've had a decent amount of experience running nitrous, and I guess I have a good reputation for answering questions. I'm local to you Gorilla (Coocnut Creek). Do you ever go out to Tower Shoppes or Fuddruckers?

Regards,

aight if u know so much then i guess i will ask u, i just got seeing the DMG that my crank walk has caused, needless to say im fully building a 6bolt now here is my complete set-up :

block :
big je pistions
crowler rods
magna fluxed
totaly balanced
aluminum flywheel
line borred
apr main bolt

Head :
steel head gasket
crowler cams
ported out to 1g intake manafold
arp head bolts
stainless steel valves
crowler single springs
titanium retainers
new lifters

Fuel:
In tank fuel pump biggest i could find
660 cc injectors
fuel pressure regulator
103 octane

Electronics :
Apexi S-AFC
Greddy Profect B

Misc :
Big 16G/Ported
Stock tranny
Ported manafold
Ported O2 housing
Greddy "Big" FMIC
Air Intake
3" Downpipe back/ no cat/ 3" muffler

and few others... was wondring whats most u think i could spary safly, and what set-up to run for best performance ... keep in mind that i dont want to break my tranny for any reasion LOL its stock...

Big JE pistons? I'm assuming by that you mean .020" over pistons. ;) I would also skip the ARP main bolts and use stock mains because the ARP's are stretch bolts, and that certainly isn't an area where you want any stretch. Since you have spent this much on the motor, I would hate to see you run into crankwalk problems in the future. Since you are local, I would seriously suggest getting the 'Fix' performed on the block as a safety pre-caution. I'll touch more on that for you if you are interested. Also, make sure the block gets a fresh deck on it.

On the cylinder head, you seem to be doing alright. I would add polished combustion chambers and ported bowls to that list, as that is where your power comes from. On the exhaust side, have a D-port performed on the exhaust runners as well. Another hting, have the head freshly decked as well, or that steel gasket won't seal.

Which is the biggest you can find? Is it that Skyline upgrade pump that flows like 310lph? Other than that, you seem to be okay on the fuel side.

All this so far looks pretty good. You only have so much tunability with the AFC, so you might want to keep that in the back of your mind when introducing nitrous into the equation.

As with everything, I would start off small and work my way up. You are FWD so I don't worry so much about your tranny. Honestly, the thing that will be holding you back at this point is your turbo. That 7cm^2 exhaust housing is only going to flow so much air. If you want to maximize your combination, then I suggest having the turbing wheel clipped about 10-15 degrees so you can run the spray more safely. Start off with a 50 shot, and use a WET kit. With the above mods, and proper piston-to-wall clearance, you can make and sustain pretty good power. Using a wet kit on your combination on the big 16g ported and clipped, you could prolly make 430+ wheel HP on like a 75 shot. I wouldn't recommend spraying any higher than 75 on that turbo. If you upgrade to something with a T3 hi-flow back wheel, then you can up the spray to somewhere in the 100-125 shot range without batting an eye. However, at that point I suggest that you get rid of the AFC and go with at least a PMS or preferably a standalone system. Let me know how far you want to take this project, and if you are serious about doing it, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help you since you are so close.

Regards,

I just had to clean out my inbox...you sent me a PM...please re-send it so I can reply to you as I idn't get it (inbox to full).

aslan i understand the "fix" that you perform, but don't see why it would be necesarry for him to get it done to his 6 bolt.

Mav-

You are right... I overlooked 6 bolt in his original post. That's my speed reading for you.

DSM4uia-

That's KINDA what meant; more so that wheel in that turbine housing is only going to flow so much, which is why I suggested he get it clipped. Then I went on to say that a T3 hi-flow would be a nice choice in that housing. Once again, kinda typing ahead of myself.

Good job both of you for pointing out what I overlooked. Other than that, I think I kept it free of errors. ;)

Regards,

That a good point nos laser. I never thought about the turbine housing limiting the amount you can spray but it makes since. So is my poor turbo screaming for mercy when I trap 114.4 on my automatic with a unported 6cm housing on my T28/28? I assume porting should help right?

hey NosLaser, D.B is doing the work on my motor... And D.B if u reading this FINISH MY CAR !!!

Nano,

I would highly recommend stepping up to a 7cm housing, and having it ported. I seriously think you'll realize a nice gain with the new housing.

Gorilla,

D.B. does EXCELLENT work, and excellent work takes time. Be patient. Would you rather someone take their time and do it right, or someone to slap it together after you just spent big money? Relax dude...
