What are the pros and cons of installing a 3" turbo outlet on my 97 gst????

If you are talking about an exhaust, what piece are you talking about? The o2 housing?

You mean a 3" o2 housing?

Nothing. You may even have worse performance because the exhaust will be going from a 3" pipe into a 2.25" stock exhaust (if it would even bolt up). That step down is really bad for flow.

If you have the exhaust to match a 3" O2 Housing with help spool up and flow, especally if upgrading from the restrictive stock housing.

When I upgraded to a 3" O2 Housing it helped my spool 1-200 rpms.
I have a 3" Downpipe and 3.5" Cat-Back.

Most true 3" O2 Housing will put you real close to the Alternator.
And most ' 3" ' Housings are really 2.75".

Having an outlet on the turbo works much better than not.
