Hi all, This may be a newbie question, but here it goes. Is there any way to visually check to see if you have a 1g or 2g motor with out having to dismantle anything. I have a 96 spyder gst, and this will be my first eclipse with the 4g63t, as all my other ones had the 420a. I noticed some valve covers say DOHC 16valve at bottom, and some say DOHC 2000. Does this have anything to do with telling what gen it is? Thanks

the one that say DOHC 2000 are the stock valve cover and the one that say DOHC 16valve could either be a Hyundai or jdm style valve cover
