TD05H question

this is likely a dumb noob question, so I guess this is the appropriate forum. I went to check out a 90 TSI for possible purchase today. The original turbo has been replaced. The only markings i noticed on the replacement is a TD05H. From reading the vfaq's it appears this is either a 14B or possibly a 16G. Any way to tell exactly what it is?

Take the intake pipe off at the turbo and look inside. If it's a 16g, it will look like 2 blades close together but if it's a 14b, the blades will be evenly spaced apart.

thx for the info. Just out of curiousity, which vehicles used the 16G as oem equipment?
