so about 1 year ago I bought a 91 GSX for $2200 it was in very rough shape, expecially the alignment. It was my first DSM and I bought it because of it's awesome potential to be a kick ass all weather car. While driving home from work (before any mods) one day I got sideways on a dirt road and because of the extreme positive camber problem the wheels dug in and sent me on a couple barrell rolls. Luckily I was not hurt but the car was a mess. I took the remains of the car and put them in a field covered up. I had almost forgotten about this car untill last month when I was told it was going to the junk yard if I did not get it. So I made a deal w/ a guy I work with to keep it at his place. I then proceeded to look for a cheap 1G to put my drivetrain in. I found an ad for a 90 TSI "needs tranny" runs good. So I go look at the car and it's pretty nice but I can't figure out what's wrong with it, the motor starts and sounds good but when you let out the clutch in neutral it stalls. At first I was thinking transfer case

maybe it can bee fixed for free but then when I got it off the trailer it rolled I dont think a bad xfer case will let the car roll. To make things worse the only key I have for the car broke off in the door as soon as I got it home. So now it sits in the middle of the chrysler service dept.'s lot with an appt to have a key made and to see if the X-fer case is the problem. DSM god please let it be the recall.
