life span of a turbo?

i was jus wondering what the average life span of a turbo (both 1G and 2G) are? like a rough estimate of Kms. ie. is 300,000 mean the turbo is pretty much done? consider normal driving habits with maybe the hard run every once and a while?

i'm lookin at a talon with 327 i think, just wonderin if even worth thinkin about, sais doens't burn any oil, and shows very little signs of wear. its TSI AWD 95 talon

yea that's a lotta km .... if you do buy the car jus have the turbo rebuilt or buy a new one. You can get away with $200 or less for that.

does a 16g turbo big or small fit directly onto a 1g or 2g exhaust manifold? is it a bolt on? or is there some custom work

1 g the 16g big and small is a bolt on, with a 2g you will need a turbo install kit abt 300 bux USD... and eerrrrr that should be all...

I have a ported small 16g on the stock manifold ... stock manifold was also ported though to get rid of boost creep.

I have 114,000 miles on my stock T-25 but I think the seals are finally going out on it now because of the oil smell I am getting. The craziest thing is this turbo was never turbo timed and people say that the T-25 is only expected to last about 60k miles.
