I am soon selling my ranger to buy a 1g eclpise fwd. I think im gonna look for an eclipse that is in great shape but no motor or a screwed motor and then put a cyclone or somthing in it, im not really sure whats out there as far as engines go, i may even get a shortblock, i dont know. I have rebuild one 4g63 in my freinds 90 fwd and it was really np, so i want to do it perfect in my own car, i hope to have it capable of 11s but also a daily driver, im thinkin an 18g or maybe 20g turbo, but otherwise interally i want it to be built strong, i dont want any problems with the internal parts after its built, i want its to be reliable as well, since its my only car. i will have about 4500 to spend on all, including around a grand for car. so about 3500 on motor, what do you think my best bet is as far as motors go, should i look on ebay for cyclones, stock 4g63ts or what? let me know, thanks Jason.

I think you should just find one with a motor. A stock motor can handle as much power as a 2og can produce. I made over 400 whp on a 20g and a bone stock block, ran 11's, no prob. Cyclones Motors are identical to US motors of the same year

sean, your motor is internally stock with a 20g?, how much boost do you run to run 11s? how many miles r on your engine?, thanks for the reply

Internally stock, 19 - 26 psi depending on what gas I'm running...I've ran 26 for extended periods but the car seems to be fastest around 24 on 110 octane. About 140k miles?
