Violent shaking at around 60MPH

my stock 1995 GSX shakes violently around around 60MPH... i am thinking bad struts and was wondering if thats the case, and how expensive to replace they are? thanks

it could just be you need a wheel alignment, or ur tires arnt balanced right, or you have uneven tread wear...or it could be all 3

if your car shakes when it is just cruising and not accelerating or during braking then it is prolly those things

What he said. Or, on my 91, I had one of the struts come loose so I was just riding on the spring. That was a really bumpy ride.

i just had an alignment, but my tires were pretty bald and probably uneven tread... i havent driven in it about 5 weeks and my rims/tires should be here this week... thank u guys for the help

I just had the exact same problem. In my case it was the front driver's side axle.
