2G-specific

anyone have pics of there vrsf with gm maf setup?

plan on doing a blow through config, but I cant find the old links where someone said it was a pita job to do. I just need to know if I need an angled coupler off the throttle body or 2 2.5 to 3" couplers.

from my understanding of their kit, which I just purchased, all you need is two 2.5-3" ruducer couplers with clamps. I think you have to trim the upper intercooler pipe a little to make room for the GM maf and couplers but other than that it should be pretty easy. The only problem I have with trimming the UICP is I dont know of anyone locally that can re-bead the pipe after cutting it but they sell their kits this way to keep the cost down and I like that

*edit*
Found this pic. Its not the throttle body elbow that comes with the kit but you can see that you wont need any angled couplers for your GM maf.

It shouldn't be hard, you should be able to rent a bead roller after you take a chunk off the uicp. Honestly with all of the work, it might be cheaper to go to Speed Density.

I have access to all this at work, idk the deal I got and my expectations, the gm maf works, like I posted I just want a blow through config and with the gm maf I can run a real cold air intake. tuning will be done with ecuflash, why people tune with the translator is beyond me.
