I just went through the same problem a few days ago. Nearly froze my a$$ off. No, you can keep the manifold on. Make sure you get all 4 bolts off ( theres one hiding in there that you cant see , use an extension to get to it). Disconnect the rubber fuel line from the fuel pressure regualtor. Release the fuel pressure before you remove the line. Now to get some of those damn vacum lines out of your way. See where they all come to a bracket on the firewall? Just disconnect the bracket ( two 10mm bolts). Wiggle the coil pack back and forh a little while pulling it out from the manifold. As it starts to come out point the side with the harness straight down. That should be it. Dont forget to reconnect everything when your done.
