i'm new here and new to the DSM crowd. I don't have the car yet but will with in the next week or so. Im getting a 98 Spyder GS and there are some very big plans in its future. I'm 18 and thank God already made all my mistakes on mylast car so this one is going to be done the way it should be. I making the transition from toyota and i think it wll be one of the greatest moves i've ever made. So hello and i'm out.

Welcome to the site and hope you find a Spyder that you like. What do you have right now??

Toyota camry don't laugh i said i made some mistakes remember. anyway i did end up making it very nice but i blew up the motor. there is actually a growing market for it but it takes a motor swap to even begn thinking about performance for the damn thing. I have found the spyder so i just can't wait till its in my hands.

Cool, was about to tell ya to keep the Camry as a daily driver but wouldnt be any good with a blown motor :thumb:

Also it would be a good idea to check out the tuning guide as well just to give you an idea if you havent already

Are you gonna try and hold out for a turbo or just a regular GS Spyder??

Turbo is the way to go you know ;) but hell a Spyder looks good no matter what.

nah, i say get the gs spyder and just put a turbo on. the spyder will look nasty. and if u made a camry look good then u can def do a dsm up. i had a civic i did up half assed and learned my mistakes there myself. goodluck on the eclipse

thanx for the replys and input guys. yeah i know it would be a good idea to save up for the gst but i need to do this now you know. i'm just going to upgrade to the turbo on the gs although i have read up on it and it looks like it may be a daunting task if i'm going for a big turbo but thats a task i would like to take on.

i would wait and get a gst...trust me, your going to regret buying a gs, as far as performance goes.
and adding a turbo kit to a gs will cost ya $$$, remember, n/t engines are completely different from the turbo engines....so just save up and get the turbo model...dont make another mistake.
