I need help with check engine code P0551

I have a 2gb eclipse and My check engine light came on and threw the P0551 code for the Power Steering Pressure Switch. I can't find this part anywhere called the dealer they said there is no such part. I know some of these parts get dirty and can cause problems. Can someone tell me where this part is on the car so I can try to clean it or where I can buy the part?

See the nipple on the right of the pump? A wire connector needs to go on there. Is it plugged in or no?

All I can offer right now is try getting the code reset and see if it pops back up, or locate a new switch. You can also try to test the wire for continuity or shorts to eliminate that.

If you cannot find one online, I'm sure you can find another pump at a junk yard and just take the switch.

does that switch come off or do I have to pull the whole pump

That's how Wyotech trained me..Check the code replace the part, and send the car out the door..

I cleaned everything as best as I could and cut all the power to the car. After I reconnected everything and no check engine light. Thank Guys
