Well I finally got around to buying a wideband, so I got the AEM UEGO.
Just have a few questions about install.
1.) Where exactly do I want the exhaust shop to weld the bung at?- I have included a photo of where I think it should go, am i right?
2.) Where would I run the sensor wire thru to get up the the A-piller?- Would I run it thru the firewall, or under the frame like the rear o2?
3.) Running the gauge in the a-piller, wheres a good place for power and ground?
4.) I have Evoscan to log with, How would I be able to log the wideband with Evoscan?- Would I splice into a ECU wire?
I have read threads and instructions, I just want to make sure I understand everything.
Thanks for answering my questions!

From AEM:"Mount the O2 sensor in the exhaust system at least 18 inches downstream from the exhaust port. If you anticipate high EGT's (over 800C), run a turbocharger, run at high RPM for extended periods of
time or plan on running leaded race fuel then you must mount the sensor at least 36 inches or more downstream of the exhaust port as all of these can cause the sensor to overheat. On turbocharged engines the UEGO sensor must be installed after the turbo charger, if not, the pressure differential will greatly effect the accuracy of the unit. For accurate readings, the sensor must be mounted before catalytic converters and/or auxiliary air pumps. To prevent collection of liquids between the sensor housing and sensor element during the cold start phase, the installation angle should be inclined at least 10° towards horizontal with the electrical connection upwards"

Come on dude seriously, there is nothing mystical or confusing about this description, it is as straight-forward as possible, what are you not understanding about this?

I mounted mine after the flex section about 2" and have no problems with it reading.

Run it through the firewall. I ran mine through the steering boot where I run all my other stuff.

And sorry I can't help you with the others. I already had a positive ran in my car for the gauge positives so I just used that.

Thank you for your reply. So it reads good even after the flex section.:)
so how would I be able to log this sensor with Evoscan?

Honestly it's pretty simple. That's how I did it on my 3rd gen using EvoScan. Once you make that all you have to do is pick up a USB-serial cable. plug everything in go to the Wideband drop menu. Pick the UEGO then select what comport it's plugged into.

Okay so i need to log Wideband AFR via a serial connection (blue wire).
So I have to have a Serial to USB cable hanging somewhere in the cabin then.
Plug it into my computer everytime i want to log AFR....
That seems a bit to much, It would have been easier just tapping into the rear 02 and getting vaules off the ECU.
Guess I will be using just the gauge itself for now then.

just do what I did, I ran the blue wire to a db 9 connector then mounted that inside my glove box on the side so its out of the way of it opening and closing, then when I want to log WB i just open the glove box, plug in my rs 232 serial to USB converter and im good to go, its really not that much more involved then then connecting your laptop to the OP 2.0 cable to begin with, and when youre not using it you just stash the Serial/USB cable and your back to clean interior...

just a thought..

Ill try and grab a pic of where i mounted it to clear up any confusion, but it may take a couple days ha

I used the second 02 port for the sensor (i have no cat) I also used the fuse box by the driver's feet for power, and lastly i used the dash light power to make my gauges change color while driving at night.. (i have prosport gauges, but its the same gerneral idea)
