Resolved 2G A few under dash connector questions?

Hey tuners, Do any of you know what the "box" (for lack of a better word) in the first pic is? It is located behind the radio. The 95 Talon I just picked up has the connector just hanging there, and my parts whore (also 95) has that "box" it is connected to. Should I swap that "box" into the good car?


Also, do any of you know what the connector in the second pic is for? My parts whore has it connected to something next to the blower motor section, but I don't see any connectors to plug it into on the good car. Any ideas?

Get the Mitsu part number off "the box" it should look like this MXXXXXXX. The connector hanging on the passengerside plugs into the cruise control module P/N MB942485, its mounted on the right bulkhead in the passengerside footwell.

The cruise control module is plugged in. I checked that this morning. Also when I was driving the car home after picking it up I tested the CC and it did in fact work. Any other ideas?

I'll get up under there and take a look around, now that I think about it I think the CC module plug is yellow too.

The connector in the second picture looks like the same plug I had questions about. And someone told me it was for the abs ecu. And I dont have abs, so the plug just goes to nothing i guess.

It might have to do with diagnosis purposes. I had read about that a while ago. Any other thoughts people?

I crawled up under my dash and found an unused WHITE connector just like that, 9 wires going into it.

It must have just Came untaped and fell down. I will get the part number from "the box" posted as soon as I can.. Thanks guys!

Ok. The part number on "the box" is MB875678. I have attached a pic of the label on it too.

Also found another open connector hanging, it is in the first pic. It is near the HVAC control. Any Ideas?

That box is the G-sensor.

For the Air bags I assume? So I'm guessing I should swap this into my good car since it does not have one?

Hey sorry but just to make sure I also have found the plug black window is talking about in his second picture in my 97 talon and have been worried what it is ..is this forsure the abs module plug or what not please let me kno

No, this is for the ABS ECU: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/436364-wiring-harness-question.html.

The connector in the OP's second picture is an intermediate connector joining the body wiring harness and the front wiring harness for ABS vehicles.
