Alright guys so I had a coil on plug system that worked great for a long time then all the sudden i kept blowing coils and was having problems with my tach. A few people recommended that i change my power transistor, I pulled it out and tested it according to the instructions in the chilton manual and it appeared to be bad so i replaced it and then was going good for a while then all the sudden it went back to the same problem, blew a coil and giving me tach troubles. I switched back to the stock ignition and it was doing great again. Then I put in a dvd player and had wires running all over the car. Next day i was driving and my whole dash went dark and the engine died. This really scared me but i came to find out i had just blown the fuse in my ignition circuit because my remote wire to my sub amplifier had rubbed through underneath the back seat and shorted out. Fixed that and i was running good for a while and then the same thing happened. So i disconnected the stereo all together from the harness ( all of the places i tapped into the ignition switch where on the stereo side of the harness). Now it still continues to blow fuses and I have no idea what could be causing this and what could be related. I imagine a wiring diagram would help but i left my car and chilton manual at home when i came down to college. Any help guys?:hmm:

Just curious, but how did you mount the power cable for your amplifier on your battery termnal? Is it by any chance arching to your hood?

i thought of that as well but it shorts when the car is not running. like as soon as i turn the key to on it blows the like acc ignition fuse and everything goes dark, getting my sun roof closed took about a half hour, a penny, and alot of burning my fingers.

my battery is in my trunk so the power cable is about 2,5 feet long and nowhere near the hood.
