okay so i want 2 step on my 2g gst and i know aem ems and dsmlink both offer this and other goodies but i dont have 1000 dollars for that right now and would like the cheapest way to start 2 steppin.. ive seen using an eprom ecu is one of the cheaper ways.. so basicly if someone could let me know everything i need to know about using the eprom ecu to 2 step as well as costs or if their is an even cheaper method... thanks in advance its greatly appreciated

You want a stutterbox? Maybe try searching stutterbox if that is what you talking about.

Other wise... 2 step boost control can be done with most electric boost controllers and some manual ones.

Stutterboxing info:

I am about 100% sure that DSM Link V3 Supports Stutterboxing.

If you want dual stage boost control info, look up turbo xs dual stage boost controler. Or hallman dual stage boost controller.

Edit:
I think you need MSD DIS-2 To stutter box.

I agree with Brian. 2 step is used for launching, not impressing your friends. All it is is that you are chaning your rev limiter at idle.

MSD DIS2 allows for the two step feature, or stutterbox, or launch control. All the same things.

But like always, I will always recommend DSMlink, as it has this feature built in, along with every map you will ever need to tune it.

+1 to ECMlink, Its just click and change the rpm and enable the 2 step control

So so so so simple and easy (not to mention tuning with too).
