I currently have the stock air intake with stock mas airflow sensor. Would it be better to get the 2g air intake w/ mas? need to know because I have a feeling that the 2g conversion would help my car out a lot better. any help would be appreciated.

on my 1g awd i had bought a k&n filter and bolt up to stock maf and it helped out a lot!!!!!!! i think it was like 50bucks or so. im not too sure how expensive they are, but i was handed down a evo8 intake and with very little modification it works on a 1g. might be somethin to look into. sorry i dont know much about the maf swap though

Yes it would be better than the 1g, but i skipped that and went for the maft instead, there might be a thread here as far as upgrading it and the reasons why, less restrictive. If you get 550 injectors its a really close match to get started, as far a bit more fuel, and more airflow.

reason why im asking is because im about to upgrade to the 16g turbo, with fuel rail, 650cc injectors, and I already have the 255lph fuel pump. My car, as it is right now, sputters when I try to go full throttle. it drives fine when im just regular driving. I figured that it was getting too much fuel and not enough air with the stock intake and when I put the new turbo on with injectors and fuel rail, i dont want to have the problem anymore. im also goin to install a new fuel pressure regulator as well

Install an AFPR first, I reckon you'll get the most benefit from it, since the 255 is overrunning your factory FPR and causing you to run rich right now, consequently reducing power.

an one more thing..what brand of intake manifold do you suggest I buy..links would be appreciated do the fact that I will be ordering a new turbo and intake manifold along with the AFPR

Many of our supporting vendors make some amazing SMIM's for the 4g63. I would suggest looking through the Vendor Announcement forum for some deals, or checking out some of the vendors' sites, from the supporting vendors page.
