how to disable the OEM theft-alarm??

I already searched but cound't found anything about how to the disable the stock alarm of my 1G TSI??? The "Security light" on the dash is "on" and I just can't disable it. When the alarms activate the horn, the alarms also blocks the ignition, so I can't "start" the engine. The only way to get the engine "on" is to disconect a few seconds the battery.

This is my first week with this 1G AWD Talon, my last dsm (1G FWD) never gives me alarm troubles, by the way I never noticed this cars comes with a factory alarms until the AWD begins giving me this problems and the light on the dash turns on. I believe the alarm on the FWD was already disconected or it wasn´t equipped with a factory alarm

So does anyone knows how to disable??

The quickest way to temporarily disable it it to pull the theft relay under the dash. There are two relays above the fuse box. Pull the left one and it should no longer give you troubles. This will disable the horn though.

Doing this will also disable the "ignition cut" of the alarm??

Does these alarms usually give troubles??? does you guys running a 1g usually disable the alarm by removing the recomended relay?? Should I try to repair the alarm trouble or those alarms are such a pain that i should disable it???

Any suggestions will be very appreciated

The wiring of the theft alarm is in it. Figuring out how it works is the first step to disabling it.

How would you disable the security in a 2g? I think I'm having the same problem. I turn the key half way and everything lights up but once I move the key all the way thru the cars power turns, as if the battery died... the only way I can fix it is by unplugging the battery for about 1-2mins and even then it takes like 2-4 tries before I can get the car to start.

sorry don't mean to highjack the thread but this issue is killing me! aghh!
