Another dash light question...

So i was drving home thursday night from class and i had a electrical fire in my car.. Everything shut off(except car).. I pulled over immediately and ripped my radio out and saw the green wire with white stripe and one silver dot fried to the copper. Well I traced all the wires and found that at my fuse box the wire meets the tail lamp relay. That irrelevant. I fixed all the burnt wires so it seems good.. No more fires

Now my problem. I can turn my dash lights into the running light position and my tails, runners, and dash come on... I turn on my actual lights and the lights come on but nothing else does...

Are you saying that when you turn on your headlights your dash, tail and running lights go out?

Ya so i went out and started messing around.. I figured out it is the light switch I hope .. If i turn the lights on the dash lights will come on for a sec and go off when the headlights come on.. I can mess with the switch and stuff doesn't act right. I hope this is a semi easy fix, The assembly looks complex..
