7 year old startup

Hey guys, Anyways my bros girl friend just bought her first car. Its a 1992 Eagle Talon TSI awd with 113k original miles. Its a 5 speed to. Anyways the kicker is it has been sitting in the garage for the last 7 years. Anyways we are going to change the gas and filter out,put new plugs, change the oil and a battery and start it up. Is there anything else we should do before we start it up? The old owner pulled it out and got it to turn over but the battery is shot so it does not have enough power to start. Anyways I herd to put a little oil in cylinders with the plugs out and turn it over to prime the oil system. Anything else before we fire this baby up.

Sounds like you did about it, oil on the rings and prime it before you start it. I would even change the oil/filter as well. Check the trans fluid too!
