OK well i have a 92 talon non-turbo. Before i got it it stripped out a timing belt so i tore the motor out and rebuilt it i put in new ring and had it bored .20 over i had a valve job done with new valve seals. It burned oil from day 1 I was told it would go away after 500 to 2000 miles just drove it 2500 miles in it's still doing it. When you start it and let it idle there is no smoke but when you rev it up it blows out blue smoke, seamed like it was loading up at an idle and blowing it out when you rev it, i was told that could be valve seals, so i took my time and replaced those thinking the machinist screwed up, still did it, next i tore the head off and pulled out the pistons rehoned the cylinders thinking they were glazed and new rings and it still does it, the only thing i can think of now is that i got the rods on backwards so the hole is spraying the wrong side and the rings can't wipe off the oil. Does this seam like it could cause it or what else would cause that? sorry but its just a long story full of frustration:ohdamn::notgood::mad::(WTF:aha::cry::confused: Please

well if it was blowing out white smoke it would be your head gasket but def not that. sounds like its burning up oil for some reason

I dont understand "rods on backwards"? Sounds like your rings have not seated. Are you getting oil into the intake tube from the valve cover? You may just need more miles on it to get it to break in. What type of oil did you use for break in?

I know turbo motors break in really fast, my rings were fully seated after 800 miles and the compression test showed 190 across. I'm not sure about N/T motors, but it seems to me after 2,500 miles those rings better be seated, even if you've been seriously babying the car the whole time. I would start off with a compression test first. Your N/T motor should read around 192, but no lower than 145 across all cylinders within about 15% of each other. If it's in the low range, I'd go with a leak down test after that and go from there.

I used mobil 10w30 and drove it easy then started getting on it after 1k, but after i reringed the motor i ran the piss out of it for the 2 following weeks and still did it. I need to know what i could do or what i could have done wrong to have this problem. It has 190-195 across the boards.

If the compression test is reading perfect, and it's burning oil, I would have to say the Valve stem seals are bad. There is a way to replace those without pulling the head I believe if you look around, but that would be my best guess. If it was the head gasket, your compression would be low in at least one of the cylinders.
