FWD 11 second Build Questions

I'm currently rebuilding my 6bolt with 2g pistons 1g big rods and my goal is 11s. I'm thinking about going with a larger turbo hoping the lag will help with traction issues as I can't afford an LSD right now.

I'm considering building the head up with manley springs and some hks 272s but I'm wondering if there's any need. Would revving to 8500rpm help or hurt me with traction and times?

im in the same boat. Traction is an issue and and when i finally did hook up nice I broke the ears off my block. Make sure you upgrade the suspension and have prothane mounts.

I reved my crower springs/retainers to 8500 on my cams. (fp1/fp2)
Can you define "bigger" turbo? Reving to 8500rpm is pointless unless your making power that high and you would need a big turbo 35r or bigger.

I was considering a PTE 50trim might be laggy enough to help with traction in the low gears. Is it really worth it though or should I go with a Big 16g and spin all through? Will a 50 trim lag enough to be helpful?

I think if your going for a bigger turbo, the cams and the springs/retainers are going to help the top end power that the 50trim turbo or larger would provide. If you want to be high 11's and just want the car more street oriented, I would go with the 16g. On my evo (16g)you could hit 28psi, but by 7,500rpms it would be around 22psi...so no point revving to 8.5k... Also, a larger turbo will lag, but when it spools you will be spinning like crazy anyway. All just depends on what you want... good luck
